U-8 through U-19

SELECT ACADEMY

Our Select Academy is meant for the established player ready to take the next steps at IFHCK and become elite athletes.  This highly competitive program requires tryout assessments or a coaches invitation.  Select Academy consists of traditional outdoor field hockey as well as the challenging Indoor, (on sportcourt), field hockey.  Athletes will strengthen their skills, learn game strategy, and compete at top levels across the country. Our Select Academy includes travel for both Outdoor and Indoor seasons, with each having separate tryouts for their respective seasons.​​​​​


Here's a breakdown of the updated age classifications for the 2025/2026 Club Season:
  • U8 Age Classification: Players born after July 31, 2016, are eligible.
  • U10 Age Classification: Players born after July 31, 2014, are eligible.
  • U12 Age Classification: Players born after July 31, 2012, are eligible.
  • U14 Age Classification: Players born after July 31, 2010, are eligible.
  • U16 Age Classification: Players born after July 31, 2008, are eligible.
  • U19 Age Classification: Players born after July 31, 2006, are eligible.

IFHCK Spring/Summer/Fall

Our Select Program is for experienced players ONLY. Beginner and Intermediate level players to the sport should start in our Academy Programs- Rise (JK-7th) or Premier (8th-12th).

IFHCK offers travel team opportunities throughout the year for elite athletes who can fully commit to weekly team practices and tournaments during the season. Athletes interested in playing for an IFHCK Travel Team must register and attend tryouts unless they are exempt by the Director, or receive a direct coaches invitation.

IFHCK INDOOR​​

Winter

The winter Indoor travel season spans over two months, helping players enhance their speed, skills, decision-making and knowledge of the game. Indoor is 6v6 (with a Goalkeeper) and played on sportcourt, creating a unique and fast-paced game. Teams train and compete for the Regional or National USFHA Indoor Tournaments from December to February. Indoor travel players must attend (2+) Regional and/or National events, along with USA Field Hockey National tournaments if selected or qualified.
