Rise & Premier Indoor Field Hockey Clinic

 IFHCK Winter Indoor Clinic

We are exctied to announce an indoor clinic for players who want to learn how to play indoor field hockey.  Indoor hockey is just like outdoor field hockey or soccer-equivalent to futsal, but on a smaller field. The game is much smaller, faster, and more controlled because of the limited space and the ability to rebound the ball off the sideboards. We play on sportcourt/hard wood floors.  Indoor field hockey teaches players great stick and ball skills that help further develop their overall abilities.

Stick+Gloves- The biggest differences are that the end of the indoor stick is skinnier and the overall weight is much lighter. In addition, indoor field players are required to have *Left" hand indoor glove at all times. No changes to the goal keeper equipment.

Pitch/Rules: Due to the pitch size in indoor being much smaller than the outdoor pitch less players are on the court at a time. In indoor there are five players plus a goalie for a total of six players. Most of the rules are similar to outdoor field hockey with exception to but not limited to; no jabbing, no hitting, no lifiting unless scoring and plating within the side boards.
